We’re Downward Frog, a sister-run brand from South London with roots on the sun-soaked shores of New Zealand. 

We grew up by the sea, surrounded by nature, art, and just enough chaos (two of five sisters!) to fuel a lifetime of collaboration. It was only a matter of time before we channeled that energy into something we truly believed in. 

Downward Frog began in 2020, when Rebecca, a trained yoga teacher, lost her day job during the pandemic. April was creating magic as a freelance illustrator.

One sunny day in Burgess Park, we realised: there were no yoga mats we actually wanted to own. They were all so... meh. So we made our own. 

Our mats feature original, hand-drawn designs, crafted to bring joy to every movement without costing the earth. We believe feeling great on the mat matters most, whatever your practice looks like.
